Faigie

This activity is part of a larger number activities on  Math Art.

Its the Numbers in Kindergarten Math Art product that has a few different art activities using art.

This activity is just one of 4 art activities having to do with number.

It's a cut and paste activity and even though I created it for Pre-K and kindergarten older children like in early elementary school can use it too.

There are three things to download.

The first is a set of shapes in boxes that should be cut out and laminated.

There there is a page of numbers in boxes that should also be cut and laminated.

The truth is you can also use dice but this is considering the fact that you don't have any or can't find the ones you do have.

Then there are sheets of shapes that correspond to the shape cards.

You can definitely cut out your own shapes out of colored paper..The origami papers here have lots of those nice colors.

I gave you the shapes just in case you don't have colored papers or don't wan to cut out your own shapes.

What I did here was cut each of the shapes into their own strips as opposed to cutting out each shape individually.

The children can cut each shape out as needed. (or if you want you can do it before they play)

What they do here is very simple.

They choose a number card and a shape card.

They cut and gather the amount of shapes that each card says.

You decide how long they do this before they get a piece of cardstock, a glue stick and they get to make a collage from all of the shapes they collected.

Even though you can make this activity yourself if you don't want to you can check out the number art product here  which is shown below
