If you have old magazines and want to use them in some way for an art project for your kids, here is the perfect idea.
A few weeks ago I posted a finish the picture post where we gave them a few different items like a triangle and some circles. They had to paste those down and then by using crayons, pastels and markers they had to finish the picture.
This is really also a finish the picture activity but, we get our original picture from magazines.
If you notice in the image above I cut out a bunch of parts of pictures from some magazines I had lying around.
The children each had to choose one picture, paste it down and then finish the picture by drawing around it.
Below are the results. I’m sure it would be fine if they used more than one picture as well if it fit into their idea of what they wanted to do.
What a great idea! Provides inspiration and teaches them about mixed media at the same time. 🙂
