"Faigie Kobre gave a wonderful hands-on art workshop for our Head Start early childhood staff. The teachers report that they have implemented many of the techniques and skills into their classroom art activities and daily routine.
The workshop has inspired and empowered the teachers to embrace a more creative learning experience for the children. We are amazed at the difference in children’s confidence and independence. We were not surprised when the data showed increased scores in problem-solving, creativity, and fine motor skills

On two different occasions Faigie Kobre led staff development workshops on “art in the preschool" classroom in our preschool. On both occasions as a community of learners we benefited greatly from her expertise.

Faigie taught the teachers different techniques to help us help our young artists grow. Products she gave our teachers are invaluable tools that are still being used today

"Faigie delivered a workshop in my school a few years ago that was so enthusiastically received by my teachers that it changed their whole perspective on children’s art.

They began to let go of their need to control how the final product appeared and began to really allow the children to engage in the process in their own way. They finally learned to appreciate that in early childhood it is more often the process we value rather than the product."

Introducing a Professional Development Program that keeps on giving

Foundations Course

The Beyond Copycat Crafts Foundations Course is a professional development experience that helps teachers discover the power of art as a true learning tool. Through 12 engaging video modules, educators learn not only why creativity matters in early education but also how to bring it meaningfully into their classrooms.

The course begins by exploring how early childhood art practices evolved—and why it’s time to move beyond cookie-cutter crafts toward deeper, more engaging learning experiences. Participants are introduced to the Creative Trio PAC Framework, which blends three essential approaches:

  • P = Process Art – open-ended exploration that builds creativity and problem-solving.

  • A = Art Centers – a hands-on environment that encourages independence and initiative.

  • C = Creative Crafts – projects that invite planning, design thinking, and skill development.

Each section includes practical strategies and examples that show how creative art experiences directly support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and sensory development.

You’ll also learn how to:

  • Connect art and literacy, building language, storytelling, and comprehension through creative expression.

  • Engage families and help them understand the educational value of creative art.

  • Display children’s artwork in ways that elevate their effort and promote self-esteem.

  • Integrate all three PAC components into a cohesive classroom approach that enhances engagement and learning.

  • Comprehensive Framework: Learn a clear, research-backed system (PAC Framework) for incorporating creativity across your entire program.
  • Ready-to-Use Tools: Each video is paired with practical ideas you can bring to your classroom immediately.
  • Aligned with Early Learning Standards: Everything you’ll learn supports cognitive, social-emotional, and creative growth in line with developmentally appropriate practice.
  • Empowered Teachers, Engaged Learners: Teachers gain clarity and confidence in using art to teach critical thinking, while children become more curious, focused, and motivated learners.
  • Community and Connection: Discover how creative art can strengthen collaboration between teachers, administrators, and parents for a more inspired classroom culture.
  • Along with the videos, eBooks and planning sheets you will also be entitle to a follow up zoom call with any of your teachers that want to ask questions or go deeper on a particular topic
