There are many different ways to develop an art curriculum. In Deep Space Sparkle, Patty answers some questions in this post about putting together an art curriculum. Even though it is very basic and you really can’t put together an full art curriculum from these answers, she does answer some basic questions and then leads you to the books she sells for the different parts of the curriculum. She discusses teaching the children shapes and line, shadow and light. She talks about sketching from real life object or  a photo and if its too early to teach them perspective. She also discusses color, the use of watercolor, oil and even introducing the children to some portraiture.

Read below to get all of her answers to the letter she received. http://www.deepspacesparkle.com/2012/04/09/fine-tuning-an-art-curriculum/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+DeepSpaceSparkle+%28Deep+Space+Sparkle%29
